West Yorkshire Combined Authority is to cut spending on contracted bus services by 20% over the next three years, as parts of plans to reduce the transport levy paid by the areas’ five districts.
The levy of £95m, of which £19m is for supported services. About 45% of the levy is spent on providing free and concessionary pass travel.
