Sargeant Bros of Kington in Herefordshire has introduced a new Enviro200 bus, supplied by Alexander Dennis.

It is a 10.8m, 40-seat example that has three-point belts at all fixed positions along with wood-effect flooring and SmartPack technology, which maximises fuel economy while reducing emissions.

Arrival of the bus follows purchase of a pair of used Enviro200s by Sargeant Bros and the lease of two others. It is the first of its type to be bought directly from the builder.

Speaking about the addition, Managing Director Matt Evans (pictured, left) says: “The Alexander Dennis Enviro200 suited us best when we looked for a new partner after our previous fleet supplied decided to cease bus manufacturing in the British market.

“We found the Enviro200 to be more versatile than competing products and better suited to the country roads here in Herefordshire. With the support from Regional Sales Manager Simon Wood and the Alexander Dennis team, the transition has been made easy for us.”

Mr Wood (pictured, centre) has welcomed Sargeant Bros as a new customer and says the manufacturer is proud to support the SME operator’s continued investment in quality bus services.

“We are pleased that our Enviro200 has proven to be the right fit for Herefordshire’s operating environment. It has been a pleasure working with Matt Evans and the Sargeants team, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to enhance their fleet and deliver vital services to their community.”
