King’s Lynn operator Lynx has welcomed three more Enviro200 buses, built and supplied by Alexander Dennis.
They are 11.8m examples. One has 37 fixed seats and six tip-ups along with a luggage rack to join existing buses on routes between King’s Lynn and Hunstanton. The other two have 33 fixed seats and nine tip-ups to give additional space for wheelchair users and buggies, and will be used by Lynx on local service 42 in King’s Lynn.
All have the Cummins B6.7 six-cylinder engine coupled to the Alexander Dennis SmartPack fuel efficiency technology.
Speaking about the purchase, Lynx Managing Director Julian Patterson says: “We are delighted to once again invest in our fleet with the addition of these latest three Alexander Dennis Enviro200s.
“The ability to adjust their specification to the different requirements of our diverse network of services helps us to provide a better journey experience for our passengers. This flexibility is what has allowed us to standardise on Alexander Dennis products with 14 single- and double-deckers bought over the last four-and-a-half years.”
The manufacturer’s Regional Sales Manager Martin Dunleavy has thanked the Norfolk operator for its ongoing business.
“We have taken great pride in tailoring these Enviro200 low-emission buses to requirements, not just providing different layouts but ensuring that the entire interior is built to Lynx’s specification including the operator’s bespoke moquette and leather seat design,” says Mr Dunleavy. “Finished in the striking red Lynx livery, these buses look fantastic.”
