Faresaver Buses of Chippenham has taken delivery of two more Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double-decks as part of an extensive fleet upgrade programme.
The most recent pair were delivered in late 2025 and followed the two earlier arrivals last spring. They are collectively the first brand-new double-deck buses to be purchased by the operator and represent an investment of over £1 million.
Like the initial deliveries, the most recent two are 10.9m examples with 77 seats. They come with SmartPack technology to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy, and are thus certified via the Zemo Partnership Low Emission Bus scheme.
Wood-effect flooring from Altro has been specified along with Lazzerini Practico high-backed seats with USB-A and USB-C charging points. Hanover has supplied destination displays and interior screens, with a hearing loop system from Ardent.
Faresaver Buses Commercial Manager Oscar Taylor says that the initial two Enviro400 arrivals quickly generated positive feedback from drivers and customers. The subsequent deliveries “provide greater capacity, a benefit that we are particularly grateful for on some of our busy school runs, which in turn delivers improved efficiency.”
Mistral Asset Finance worked with Faresaver Buses on the deal, while Alexander Dennis Regional Sales Manager Mark Taylor is credited by the customer for having provided high-quality service and support during the buying process.
The manufacturer’s representative comments: “We are thrilled to deliver this second pair of Enviro400s to Faresaver Buses.
“The first two delivered in spring 2025 have gone down really well with passengers on the company’s flagship routes around Bath and Wiltshire, so we are delighted to think of that passenger satisfaction being doubled with the new arrivals.”
