Shane Crisp has been appointed as Stagecoach South’s new Assistant Operations Manager for the Havant and Portsmouth area.
He started his industry career in 1994, aged 17, as a Provincial Bus Company platform conductor based in Fareham and Gosport bus stations. The Gosport man joined Stagecoach in 1999, working as a driver in the Portsmouth depot, and went on to became a depot controller in 2005.
Entering the company’s Staff Development Programme in 2015, Shane was seconded to Stagecoach in Oxford where he worked closely with the Operations Management team to learn about budgets, staff management, recruitment and health and safety.
In his new role in the Havant and Portsmouth area, Shane will be working together with Operations Manager Colin Ashcroft.
“I am enjoying the new challenges that I come across now that I am in the management role. I learned a great deal from my experience with the staff development programme and I am looking forward to putting this experience into practice,” he says.
Shane replaces Mike Armitage, who was recently promoted to Operations Manager at Chichester.
