Lorna Miller has been appointed Northern Regional Bus and Coach Sales Manager by Higer importer Harris Bus and Coach.
She brings over 25 years’ passenger vehicle sales experience to the position and joins from EVM UK. Ms Miller will cover Scotland and northern England, working with the V-Series coach platform and Azure battery-electric buses. That will see her support dealer development work and specific operator relationships.
The importer says that Ms Miller’s extensive relationships across local authorities, utility companies and the wider operator community “make her ideally positioned to support Harris Bus and Coach’s determined growth plans in multiple market segments.”
It adds that those established customer relationships “will play an important role in converting… opportunities into long-term growth.”
Speaking about her appointment, Ms Miller says: “I am hugely excited to be joining Harris Bus and Coach at a time when the business is making such a significant move in the market.
“The ambition within the company, the quality of the Higer product range, onboarding new dealers, and the opportunities within the market made this a very easy decision for me.
“I have spent my career building relationships with local authorities, operators and community transport providers, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to introduce the Higer range to customers that I know are looking for exactly this type of product and support.
“There is huge, untapped potential for Harris Bus and Coach within the market, and I am looking forward to helping to drive that growth across the north.”
Prior to her time at EVM, Ms Miller held positions at companies including Allied Vehicles, Nu-Track, Oughtred and Harrison, and Mellor. In addition to its existing range of Higer products, Harris Bus and Coach has promised to bring more models to the UK and Ireland in battery-electric and diesel forms.
