The 19 Wrightbus StreetLites for Arriva Derby are to a high specification

Arriva Midlands has invested £3.5m in its Derby fleet with the arrival of 19 StreetLites, supplied by Wrightbus (02825 641212).

The buses were launched by a collection of dignitaries, including Secretary of State for Transport Chris Grayling. Their arrival is part of Arriva’s efforts relating to the introduction of an Air Quality Plan in Derby, says Area Managing Director Simon Mathieson.

“We have a responsibility to improve our bus network locally in order to provide a viable, attractive alternative to traveling by car.

“Our plans do not stop here. We are already working towards a greener future at Derby depot, with more announcements to come in the near future.”

The StreetLites have synthetic leather seating and wi-fi.
