Castle Minibus offsets carbon footprint

School minibus training, compliance and vehicle supplier Castle Minibus has agreed to donate an annual sum towards the planting and ongoing maintenance of approximately 1,500 trees over the next three years.

It is working in partnership with the Field Studies Council (FSC). Castle Minibus’s immediate plan is to fund three seasons, planting around 500 trees per year at FSC’s Preston Montford site in Shropshire.

Says Castle Minibus Managing Director Chris Maynard: “While we can’t accurately calculate the carbon emissions of the business or the vehicles we rent, lease and sell, we can contribute to offsetting our carbon footprint.

“I am very pleased to be able to fund the planting and maintenance of these 1,500 trees with FSC, which will not only oversee the initial planting but also the maintenance and the growing success of our block in Shropshire.”
