Former Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) Technical Executive Colin Copelin died on Tuesday 28 April.
Mr Copelin retired in 2011. Before joining CPT, he worked for Wilts & Dorset, which is now part of the Go South Coast group.
Mr Copelin was renowned for his extensive knowledge of technical matters and many other industry topics, including driversā hours.
He was also a magistrate in his home town of Bournemouth.
Mr Copelin had been unwell for some time and passed away at home. It is not believed that coronavirus COVID-19 was involved.
