JJ Kavanagh and Sons Bus and Coach Sales has been appointed as the agent for Ireland and Northern Ireland for all Ilesbus products.
The Urlingford, Co Kilkenny company will sell each member of the Ilesbus line-up. That includes minicoaches and midicoaches and the I-City low-floor minibus, which is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base vehicle.
It will hold stock vehicles and spare parts and carry out all aftersales work on Ilesbus products on the island of Ireland. That will include the provision of mobile engineering support, says Ilesbus UK Director Gary Johns.
Mr Johns adds that JJ Kavanagh will sell accessible variants of Ilesbus’s larger models. They were developed to satisfy PSVAR in the UK. While PSVAR does not form part of Irish requirements, Ilesbus believes that there will be a call for accessible vehicles from buyers there.
It has reported particular success in the UK with its PSVAR compliant midicoach based on the Iveco Daily. Thus far six have been sold here.
