Plaxton Panther for Phillips International Travel
SHARE

Phillips International Travel of Bewdley has added to its fleet a Volvo B8R with Plaxton Panther bodywork, supplied by Alexander Dennis.

The coach continues Phillips’ 43-year tradition of buying Plaxton vehicles. It has been christened Coronation Sovereign in honour of King Charles III. Included is provision for later PSVAR conversion without need for body modification, with an additional door already present on the nearside.

49 seats are fitted to an interior that has been configured to suit the operator’s requirements. Each position has a drop-down table and a footrest, while for the first time, Phillips has specified USB charging points. A cherished registration mark completes the coach.

Speaking about the purchase, Director Julian Phillips (pictured, left) says: “We would like to thank our loyal customers. Without the frequent custom of so many people, our family business would not be in a position to renew our vehicles.

“The past three years of COVID-19 lockdowns and rocketing fuel prices have been tough to navigate, so we are extremely proud to have steadied the proverbial ship and finally be able to invest in renewing our small fleet once again.”

Alexander Dennis Sales Manager New and Used Coach Sales Simon Wood (pictured, right) has congratulated Phillips International Travel on its latest delivery. “We are proud to continue to support small coach operators like Phillips,” he explains,

“This new Plaxton Panther will upgrade the excellent programme of tours, day excursions and European coach holidays provided by this true family business for its discerning customers.”
