Welsh’s Coaches of Upton, near Pontefract, has taken delivery of its first Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M, supplied by EvoBus (UK) (02476 626000).
It is finished to range-topping Touring Plus specification and seats just 48 passengers in part-leather Luxline upholstery.
Among its extensive range of passenger comfort items are provision for uprated 4G wi-fi and a Bosch Professional Line entertainment system along with twin monitors.
The driver benefits from a luxury seat with twin armrests, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and a reversing camera, and Bluetooth connectivity is present in the cab.
Power is from an OM 470 engine rated at 390bhp coupled to an eight-speed Powershift 3 automated manual gearbox. A wide range of safety systems are also fitted.
