Pressure and tread reader allows fast, accurate tyre data collection

Bartec’s new TAP200 tyre pressure and tread reader was unveiled at the CV Show by distributor Butts of Bawtry.

The TAP200 has been designed to allow the fast and accurate collection of data on commercial and fleet vehicles and it can measure tread depth, irregular tread wear, and tyre pressure.

It can also record damage to the tyre, valve and wheel for review later.

Automated data collection means that the operator benefits in many ways, says Bartec; fuel costs reduce through correct inflation and tyre life is maximised. Additionally, the number of call-outs for service will reduce.

The TAP200 uses a colour-coded warning system, which indicates and records the tread wear pattern using three points of measurement to clearly show the tread profile.

“We are delighted to welcome Butts of Bawtry as a distributor of the TAP200 and we look forward to a long relationship,” says Bartec MD Colin Webb.
