Who do you believe should considered as potential winners at this year’s routeONE Awards?
That’s the question being asked by the judges as they call for nominations, from which they will determine the winners, to be announced at the prestigious ceremony on 4 October at the Hilton Birmingham Métropole Hotel adjacent to the NEC, Birmingham.
The event is timed to coincide with this year’s coach and bus industry show, Coach & Bus UK at the NEC, 4-5 October.
Says Awards Chairman Mike Morgan: “Excellence is the by-word and the aim as always is to identify and reward the best operators and people in the coach, bus and minibus sectors.”
Among the 16 categories there are 11 for operators and five for people, while new for this year are two categories for Best Use of Technology.
It’s only through nomination that an operator stands any chance of being a finalist, and now is the industry’s chance to nominate those who it thinks are the best.
Nominations for the ‘people’ categories – Manager/Engineer of the Year and the Special Award – are welcome from third party recommendation or direct from their employer.
Once the nominations close on 14 April all nominees will be asked to complete an entry form with information that will enable the panel of judges to determine the shortlists.
These finalists will then be invited to submit detailed supplementary information before the final decisions on the winners are made.
In the event of the judges needing further evidence, they will arrange to either visit or interview finalists.
