As part of the Black Country Festival this month, in a nod to Walsall’s transport history, National Express West Midlands has repainted a bus into Walsall Corporation livery
The fleet was absorbed into the newly-formed West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive in October 1969, along with those of Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Birmingham and Coventry.
In 1986 WMPTE transferred its vehicles and services to West Midlands Travel, bought by National Express in April 1995.
