Journeo has made a stride in its Nordic operations by acquiring intelligent transport solutions provider, MultiQ Denmark A/S, from Vertiseit AB.
The acquisition underscores Journeo’s ambition in the Nordic intelligent transport systems (ITS) market, consolidating its pre-existing presence which features an engineering team stationed in Sweden. MultiQ, with its rich customer base across Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland, will continue to operate from its mainstay in Aarhus, Denmark, retaining its established brand, technology suite, and specialist team.
The merger provides both Journeo and MultiQ customers a broader palette of ITS solutions, ranging from dynamic passenger information systems to SaaS-driven fleet and data management tools.
In a statement, Russ Singleton, Chief Executive Officer at Journeo, says: “MultiQ is a market leader in developing public information systems for transport operators and authorities. It has considerable expertise in fleet management software, on-board passenger infotainment, indoor and outdoor real-time display systems, and a reputation for high quality designs and installations. This highly complementary acquisition gives Journeo a leading position in the ITS market in Denmark and further strengthens our ambitions in the Nordic markets.”
Mads Hansen, Managing Director at MultiQ Denmark, adds: “This move enables MultiQ to focus on delivering high-quality ITS technology and SaaS solutions to our customers across the region. Becoming part of the Journeo group of companies also allows us to broaden the range of solutions we offer and support Journeo’s development.”
