Rossendale Borough Council has approved the sale of Rossendale Transport Limited (trading as Rosso) to Transdev Blazefield (routeone, 20 December). The formal transfer is expected to be completed this month.
As part of the agreement, Transdev is planning to invest significantly in Rosso including spending £3m on new buses.
It also plans to introduce integrated ticketing across both networks and improve information to customers.
