The new Irizar i6 integral for Ashley Travel is a 12.9m, 57-seat example

Sheffield-based Ashley Travel has taken delivery of an i6 integral, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).

The 12.9m, two-axle coach has 57 i6 seats with USB charging points and it also comes with CCTV along with Actia and Bosch audio systems.

It will initially service tour commitments but its capacity will make it a versatile member of the fleet in later years. “It’s got the ideal compromise of comfort, leg room and capacity,” says Director Andrew Powell.

The operator’s proximity to Irizar UK’s Worksop base is a positive. Andrew rates the support offered as first-class while the coach is also competitively priced, he says.

Power is from a DAF MX-11 engine rated at 370bhp which drives through a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
