Another Irizar integral is expected later to join the recently-deliverd i6s

Glastonbury-based Avalon Coaches has turned to Irizar UK (01909 500514) for a pair of 12.9m i6 integrals that each seat 53.

Both coaches have three-point belts, a drinks machine, wood-effect flooring and a driver’s bunk.

A further Irizar integral will follow them in October as the operator continues a switch to DAF power, with General Manager Clayton Roper explaining that it has consistently delivered excellent fuel economy.

The new arrivals are maintained in-house. They are expected to remain on fleet for at least five years – “but if they continue to perform well, we’d be happy to keep them for longer,” adds Clayton.

Power is from the MX-11 engine rated at 370bhp coupled to the ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.
