Transport Made Simple business Central Connect has taken delivery of the first four of a seven-coach Yutong order in the form of two of the GT14 tri-axle and a pair of GT12s, all for FlixBus duties and supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.
The GT12 is an established sight in the scheduled network’s green livery, but the tri-axle is a more recent introduction to those services. Central Connect is thus an early customer for the Yutong GT14 on FlixBus utilisation.
All four arrivals have the camera monitoring system that is standard on the GT14 and optional on the GT12. Other amenities across the batch include USB-A and USB-C charging points along with 240-volt sockets, wi-fi, lateral adjustment to aisle positions, mood lighting, and a Bosch entertainment system.
Cabs are equipped with a high-specification seat including a massage function, while power is from DAF in the MX-11 unit in the GT12s, and the larger MX-13 in the GT14s. All four coaches have the ZF EcoLife six-speed automatic gearbox and are compliant with PSVAR.
Area Sales Manager Lee McMahon completed the sale for Pelican Bus and Coach. UK and Ireland Coach and Truck Sales Manager Simon Collins has thanked Central Connect for its business, noting that the new deliveries “will be trusted additions to the fleet and the FlixBus network.”
