Chandlers Coach Travel of Westbury has returned to Irizar UK for an i6S Efficient integral, which will be deployed on the operator’s Platinum Class international tour programme.
The newcomer is a 13.2m long, super-high tri-axle. It carries 46 passengers, although it was supplied to the operator with 53 seats to allow an increase later in life. The lower than normal initial capacity is to provide additional legroom and benefit the customer experience.
Each position has a drop-down table, a magazine net, and a multi-position footrest. USB charging points are provided and the coach also has an extended servery along with a centre sunken toilet.
The driver and courier each have leather seats, while a Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and an Actia DVD player cover entertainment requirements. PSVAR readiness has also been specified to simplify full conversion later in life.
Power comes from the DAF MX-13 engine developing 483bhp coupled to a ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox. Exterior LED cantrail lighting it also part of the specification, along with finishing in Chandlers’ distinctive rich livery. The coach is completed by a cherished registration mark.
