Delaine Buses has added a further new Alexander Dennis Enviro200 to its fleet. It is a fifth example of the type to be purchased by the Bourne business, and as a 72-plate made its service debut on 1 September.
On the day that the Scarborough-built bus took to the road, it was posed with six members of the Delaine-Smith family. From left: Mark, Kevin, Jennifer, Victoria, Ian and Anthony. They represent the fifth and sixth generations of the family.
Between them have amassed 201 years’ experience in local bus operation. The picture is the only one taken with all six family members in the frame.
As is customary for the Lincolnshire operator, the new bus carries a cherished registration mark that incorporates the letters DBL. It follows a fourth Enviro200 that was delivered to Delaine Buses earlier in 2022, with the operator having said at that time that the model delivers fuel consumption of 11.5mpg.
