Good experience with existing coaches has led DJ Thomas back to Volvo

DJ Thomas Coaches, of Neath, has stuck with the 9700 by adding a further two 57-seat examples, supplied by Volvo Bus (02476 210250).

They are powered by the D11K engine rated at 430bhp driving through Volvo’s I-Shift automated manual gearbox and they will satisfy the requirements of additional contracts and tour work.

“The 9700 meets all of our requirements and that convinced us to specify Volvo once again,” says Director Lee Gibson.

“We have been extremely happy with previous 9700s, which perform well on our tour programme.

“Our drivers like the vehicle because of its handling and the accessibility of the dashboard controls. The 9700 is a stylish and aesthetically pleasing coach and we know that the B11R delivers excellent fuel consumption.”
