Elite Services of Stockport has taken delivery of a Scania K500NI with Irizar i6S Efficient bodywork, supplied by Scania UK.
It is a 14m tri-axle model in a dark metallic grey. Internally that theme continues. The luggage racks and 57 seats with three-point belts employ a variety of shades of the same colour, while wood effect flooring is also fitted.
The coach is PSVAR compliant, with that coming thanks to equipment including a passenger lift over the tag axle and silver LED destination displays. It is also compliant with the General Safety Regulation.
Power is from the DC13 engine developing 500bhp and 2,550Nm of torque coupled to the Opticruise 12-speed automated manual gearbox.
A camera monitoring system is fitted in place of conventional mirrors, with Scania UK Regional Account Manager Richard Austin describing the coach as “a stunning example of our product.”
