Doigs of Glasgow has returned to Irizar UK for a 12.9m i6 integral that seats 55. It comes with preparation for later conversion to PSVAR compliance.
The new coach joins an over 30-strong fleet that extended from people carriers to large coaches. It is powered by the DAF MX-11 engine developing 367bhp driving through the ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox.
Passenger amenities on the new i6 include USB charging points, a centre toilet and an entertainment package that comprises Bosch Smart Series audio visual equipment and an Actia DVD player. Two monitors are coupled to that set-up.
Safety systems include advanced emergency braking, lane departure warning and three-point belts, along with adaptive cruise control. Alcoa Dura Bright polished alloy wheels are fitted, as is mid-tinted glazing that coupled with metallic silver paint gives a distinctive overall appearance.
