MacPhails Coaches of Salsburgh has added an AOS Grand Toro midi to its fleet, supplied by EVM. It was handed over to Director Martin MacPhail (pictured, left) by Area Sales Manager Matt Thompson (pictured, right).
The compact Grand Toro sits alongside the larger Visigo in EVM’s AOS range. The 8.5m long, 2.4m wide Grand Toro has 35 seats in synthetic leather. It is powered by a Cummins ISB4.5 engine developing 206bhp mounted behind the front axle, coupled to an Allison six-speed automatic gearbox.
EVM saw success with both AOS vehicles during a roadshow earlier in 2023. Mr Thompson says that the Grand Toro “is definitely gaining more traction” and he notes that its combination of compact dimensions, seating and luggage capacity, and competitive price “is turning heads.”
The dealership adds that while most Grand Toro stock for 2023 is now accounted for, forward orders with the factory in Turkey have already been placed. Some of those include the option of PSVAR compliance.
“This vehicle has been a brilliant addition to EVM’s offering,” Mr Thompson continues. In addition to the Grand Toro supplied to MacPhails, further examples are in the process of being delivered to coach operators in Scotland as far north as the Shetland Islands.
