Award-winning operator Henshaw’s Executive Travel has added three more Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches to its fleet, supplied by Daimler Buses UK.
One of the newcomers is a 12-metre two-axle Tourismo with 55 seats and the other pair are 13-metre three-axle M/3 models that carry 57 passengers, all in Travel Star Eco upholstery and all to PSVAR compliant layout.
They follow many previous Tourismos into the Moreton-in-Marsh fleet and each coach comes with uprated Active filters with an antiviral layer in the air-conditioning system, a heated driver’s seat, a centre sunken toilet, dark tinted side windows and new-style LED headlights.
Also part of the package across the three coaches is a comprehensive safety package including Active Brake Assist 6, peripheral exterior lighting and a reversing camera to help manoeuvring, Sideguard Assist 2, Traffic Sign Assist, Attention Assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Power in the two-axle coach is from the 7.7-litre OM 936 engine developing 350bhp, while the three-axle pair each have the 10.7-litre OM 470 producing 390bhp. The eight-speed PowerShift automated manual gearbox is fitted to each member of the Tourismo trio for Henshaw’s.
