Moxons Tours of Worksop has taken delivery of a Futura FHD2, supplied by VDL Bus and Coach UK. It is a 12.9m example that has 53 Vogel LS30 seats with Prestige upholstery, a toilet, a drinks machine and a fridge.
The coach for Moxons Tours represents a first for VDL in that it was used as a seed vehicle to homologate the use of the DAF MX-11 engine at its 450bhp rating coupled to the ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. Previously, VDL offered the EcoLife with the MX-11 only at lower power outputs.
That work necessitated the coach being Dutch registered for some time before delivery. The dealership is now able to take orders for the driveline combination concerned in both two- and three-axle Futura FHD2s.
