P&O Lloyd of Bagillt has continued to favour the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo with the arrival of two more new examples, supplied by Daimler Buses UK.
They are 12m, two-axle models with 53 Travel Star Eco seats. Footrests and drop-down tables are included, along with a centre sunken toilet. Each is PSVAR compliant thanks to a factory-fitted passenger lift and silver LED front, side and rear displays.
Safety features capture the standard Active Brake Assist 6, Sideguard Assist and Frontguard Assist programmes as part of full adherence to the EU General Safety Regulation 2. The driver benefits from a heated seat.
Power in both newcomers for P&O Lloyd is from the 7.7-litre OM 936 engine rated at 354bhp coupled to the eight-speed PowerShift automated manual gearbox. They follow multiple earlier Tourismos into the Flintshire operator’s fleet.
