The South West of Scotland Transport Partnership for Dumfries and Galloway (SWestrans) has taken three new Mellor Strata buses from Mellor Coachcraft (01706 860610).

The new buses follow an order for two Maximas earlier this year by Dumfries and Galloway Council (DGC).

They are low-floor, easy access and can carry up to 22 passengers. The vehicles will be leased by SWestrans to Houston’s Coaches in Lockerbie, which will provide accessible public transport to remote areas.

Douglas Kirkpatrick, Lead Officer at SWestrans, says: “We did not need a large bus; the Stratas are the perfect addition.”
