Of the new B11Rs, two carry Jonckheere JHV bodies and two are 9700s

State-owned Northern Ireland operator Translink has taken delivery of four B11R-based coaches from Volvo Bus (02476 210250).

Two carry Jonckheere JHV2 bodies and the others are 9700 integrals. They are all in Ulsterbus Tours livery.

The 13m, tri-axle 9700s will be used for international touring work and the two-axle, 12.6m JHV2s will be utilised on duties including private hire and local tours, says Travel Centre Manager Kay Sharkey. All have 57 seats.

“We are pleased to once again work in partnership with Volvo for the supply of these new state-of-the-art coaches, which meet the latest standards in comfort and quality.

“As we already operate a sizeable number of Volvos, we were familiar with their build quality, dependability and impressive fuel economy.”
