Sanders Coaches of Holt has taken delivery of two more Volvo B8RLEs with MCV Evora bodywork. The 10.8m, 38-seat buses follow four examples of the same length purchased in 2021.
The shorter variant of the B8RLE Evora combination complements a 12.1m offering. It has been chosen by Sanders to suit narrow rural roads in North Norfolk. Delivery of the latest buses continues a relationship between Sanders and Volvo that has now lasted for 30 years. That also saw a B8R coach with PSVAR compliant Plaxton Panther bodywork join its fleet in 2021.
Says Sanders Coaches Managing Director Charles Sanders: “The latest two models have just started service, but there has already been great driver feedback on the B8RLEs delivered last year.
“Indeed, the Coast Hopper route, which is now one of our best performing services as tourists return to almost pre-pandemic levels, presents its own challenges to drivers, but they are nothing that the Volvo buses cannot handle.
“Not only that, but the whole sales process has been excellent and we already benefit from first-class aftersales support courtesy of Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia at Norwich dealerpoint.”
Volvo Bus National Account Manager Richard Mann handled the latest sale. He adds: “Sanders Coaches and Volvo have enjoyed a long-lasting relationship and these new B8RLE Evoras will strengthen that bond.
“It is fantastic to hear the very positive driver feedback, especially as anyone who has ever driven along the North Norfolk coast will know that it is not the easiest of routes to navigate – especially behind the wheel of a bus.”
