New Scania ADL ‘deckers for Southdown Buses are Euro 6, 78-seaters

Copthorne, West Sussex operator Southdown Buses has added two N 250 UDs with Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC bodies to its fleet, supplied by Scania Great Britain (01909 500822).

The 10.9m double-deckers each have 78 Lazzerini Practico seats and USB charging points, and they have been purchased following good performance from the combination in Euro 5 form with Classic bodywork.

Says MD Steve Wallis: “Having tried and tested the N 250 UD demonstrator last year, we know that the chassis handles well and performs superbly in terms of fuel economy, reliability and ease of maintenance.

“It is also popular with drivers, engineers and passengers alike. Combined with the E400 MMC body, it is adaptable for every road condition but light enough to make a difference.”
