Weardale Travel of County Durham has added a DAF XB with Noone Turas 900s bodywork to its fleet, supplied by Jones Coach and Bus Sales.
It is built on a 12,000kg GVW front-engined chassis and has 37 seats plus a courier’s place. Each position is finished in grey, with red featuring in the diamond stitching, piping, and pleated backrest and squab inserts.
PSVAR compliance has been specified. That package includes white LED destination displays and a passenger lift that is mounted over the rear axle and coupled to a large additional door to ease the passage of wheelchair users.
The dealership points out that such positioning of the lift does not impact luggage space, which is provided in both the large rear boot and side lockers.
No time was wasted in putting the vehicle to work, with its first outing being a vineyards tour to France. A cherished registration mark and polished wheel trims accompany the Weardale Travel midicoach.
