The LowCVP is hosting a Low Emission Bus Workshop in Glasgow on the 8th March in collaboration with Glasgow City Council and Transport Scotland. The free event is aimed at local authorities and bus operators wishing to learn more about low emission and low carbon technologies and fuels which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air quality pollutants.
The event will be introduced by Cllr Anna Richardson, City Convener for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction and will include information on how Glasgow plans to introduce the first Low Emission Zone in Scotland by the start of 2019 as well as Strathclyde Partnership for Transport’s bus strategy. Delegates will also hear about the experiences of operators in introducing biodiesel, hydrogen fuel cell and biomethane buses.
There will be opportunities to speak to low emission bus manufacturers, retrofit technology suppliers and fuel suppliers over lunch. A shuttle bus will be running from Glasgow Central Station to the SEC from 9am on the 8th March, returning after lunch has concluded.
