Euro Bus Expo 2026 is on track to deliver the world’s largest showcase of right-hand-drive road-ready coaches, buses, midibuses and minibuses. We take a look at why operators, suppliers and stakeholders must be ‘in the room’ this November.
By the time the industry gathers at the NEC in Birmingham on 3-5 November for Euro Bus Expo 2026, two years will have passed since the previous show. Over that period a great deal has changed. Technologies and products that were in their infancy have now matured, vehicle designs have taken a step forward, and the manufacturing landscape has evolved.
It’s perhaps no surprise then to learn from the show organiser, Diversified UK and Europe, that interest from exhibitors, keen to ensure their latest products are placed firmly in front of operators, is currently around 41% ahead of the same point in the last pre-show cycle. That confidence is due, in no small part to Euro Bus Expo being the only dedicated UK coach and bus trade show.
Industry showcase
As this article was written, close to 200 exhibitors have signed up. A significant number of coaches, buses, midibuses and minibuses are expected, providing a unique opportunity for operators and others to compare and contrast, to talk to suppliers about products and to discuss and understand the all-important supply timetable.
Diversified says the Technology and Miniplus Zones are sold out and only 15 stands remain across the entire show, with those expected to sell out in the coming weeks.
That level of interest is testament to the role of Euro Bus Expo as the industry showcase, both for vehicles and suppliers. The comprehensive nature of the exhibitor line-up supports the organiser’s claim that Euro Bus Expo really does have everything the industry needs under the one roof.

Unrivalled position
The show, with its three decades of history, has an unrivalled position in the industry calendar. In 2024 the show attracted around 7,000 attendees from 40 countries, 191 exhibitors, 75 vehicles on show, 47 expert speakers, 28 seminar sessions and an exhibitor satisfaction rate of 97%. This year, expectations are similar.
However, this year also sees the welcome return of three leading manufacturers: Daimler Buses, Volvo Bus and Wrightbus, taking space for the first time since 2018, an indication of the importance of the show to the wider industry.
Recent exhibitor sign-ups include Alexander Dennis, Siemens, Trueform, Apex Bus Sales and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. Custom Denning, Australia’s longest-established bus manufacturer, will be making its first-appearance at a UK coach and bus trade show as will Zhongtong Bus Holdings and Pacific Tur. Among the other 35 new exhibitors (at the time of going to press) are Motormax, showcasing technology on a double-decker bus, and Minicoach World, the business that acquired Ilesbus UK from administration.
Vehicle exhibitors
This year, among the 28 different exhibitors with vehicles on their stands, there will be a wide range of coaches, buses, midibuses and minibuses to see, inspect and evaluate.
Those exhibitors include Alexander Dennis, Apex Bus Sales, Arobus, BASE Coach Sales, BYD, Coachtraders, EVM, GM Coachwork, Harris Bus and Coach UK, Irizar UK, London Hire, Mellor/Treka, Minibus Options, Minicoach World, Nicholson Coachbuilders, Noone Turas UK, Pelican Bus and Coach, Scania UK, TBC Conversions, Temsa and VDL Van Hool.
It’s an extensive list. Having so many vehicles in the same place provides a unique opportunity for operators to compare a wide range of right-hand-drive specifications.
In addition to the vehicles, visitors, whether operators, local authorities, or other organisations, will be able to explore the full supply chain, from vehicles, conversions, charging and workshop equipment through to software, ticketing, insurance, passenger technology, parts, compliance, training and operational support.

Insight and takeaways
Alongside the line-up of new vehicles is the Masterclass Theatre, an important element of the show that delivers insight, ideas, inspiration and immediate take-aways to support and assist visitors back in their businesses and organisations.
Following the successful introduction of the process in 2024 that led to a packed, varied and industry-developed programme, a call for speakers has gone out. This year’s Masterclass Theatre programme will be shaped by the industry. Proposals are invited for keynote presentations, panel discussions, case studies, lightning talks, roundtables and fireside chats.
The programme will be shaped around eight key industry themes: Looking ahead; Investing in our people; Fleet transition and sustainable travel; Funding and finance; Cities and transport; Operations and compliance; Running a better business; and Innovation and new ideas.
For operators, suppliers and industry specialists with experience to share, the call for speakers offers a chance to put practical knowledge in front of the sector. Euro Bus Expo is looking for case studies, lessons learned and informed perspectives that can help others navigate the same commercial, operational and technical challenges. Looking at the Masterclass Theatre holistically, this is very much the industry shaping its own agenda.

Innovation Challenge returns
Supporting Euro Bus Expo’s position as a show that leads in highlighting product development, the popular Innovation Challenge returns this year, giving visitors the opportunity to see what’s new from across the show floor. Visitors will vote for their favourites on the Innovation Challenge display on days one and two. The finalists from that vote will then pitch their products to a live audience and judging panel in the Masterclass Theatre on day three with the winners announced later in the day. For exhibitors with new products to showcase, the Innovation Challenge offers another route to visibility at the event.
Not just managers
Taking time out from being behind a desk or in a yard requires confidence that time spent attending the show will be worthwhile.
Chris Walsh, Operations Manager with St Helens-based David Ogden Holidays, brings members of his engineering and garage team.
“Bringing my colleagues introduces them to the wider aspects of our industry,” he says. “It’s an opportunity for them, and for me, to meet new suppliers and to network. I’m always keen to learn as much as I can and walking the aisles throws up suppliers, products and ideas I probably wouldn’t have seen if I’d stayed back in the yard.”
Raymond Clark, Director of Watermill Coaches based in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, who is planning to make the nearly 1,000-mile round trip to the NEC, echoes the benefits of networking.
“I always find Euro Bus Expo a worthwhile event,” he says. “It’s a chance to step away from the day-to-day routine, catch up with industry colleagues and see some of the latest products firsthand. As well as making new contacts, I’m hoping to pick up a few ideas and insights that will help us continue developing our business and improving what we offer our customers.”

Upbeat feel
Commenting on the importance of the show to the industry, Group Director, Helen Conway, says: “Euro Bus Expo 2026 is on course to be our strongest edition in recent years. The pace at which the show has filled, significantly ahead of where we were at the same point in the last show cycle, tells us that the industry has fully embraced the biennial format.
“But it also says something broader about the sector itself. At a time when operators are navigating real pressures, whether that’s fleet investment decisions, zero-emission transition, compliance or funding challenges, the fact that so many suppliers want to be in the same room reflects genuine confidence in the direction the industry is heading.
“It is the entire coach and bus sector under the same roof. Overall, there’s a real upbeat feel to this year’s show and I’m really looking forward to welcoming our industry friends and colleagues through the doors in November.”
Registration is now open. Euro Bus Expo Connect, the show’s pre-event meeting planner, which will return later this year, will be available exclusively to pre-registered visitors. The platform will allow meetings with exhibitors to be arranged before arrival at the NEC, helping operators plan ahead, prioritise key conversations and make better use of time on the show floor.
