A transport manager (TM) and director of Cockermouth haulage firm EW & PA Nicholson has been banned from the industry indefinitely, after admitting that AdBlue cheat devices had been fitted to 16 vehicles on his instructions
After a Public Inquiry, Eric Nicholson was banned indefinitely as a TM, and banned from holding an O-Licence for five years.
It is the “most serious a case of the deployment of AdBlue emulators” TC Simon Evans says he has come across so far.
“Mr Nicholson has conducted himself in a wholly disreputable manner, showing disdain for the regime,” he added.
