Optare has announced that Bus Corp Oceania is its new distributor in Australia and New Zealand, and it has confirmed that in addition to exporting UK-built buses it will begin to examine the potential for local assembly in partnership with the distributor.
Says President Graham Belgum: “The Solo, Tempo and Versa are very well-proven products in the UK, European and Australasian markets and we now seek to introduce our Metrocity range.”
Optare already has a fleet of demonstration vehicles in the region and says that it its strategy will see it grow into one of the “key bus suppliers” in Australia and New Zealand.
