CCTV systems are invaluable when investigating incidents on a vehicle, offering an independent witness to clarify an exact chain of events.
However most recorded footage is never viewed and operators may only find out that an older system has not been recording when they desperately need the footage. If video recordings are not available when needed it can pose great difficulties in assessing any claim.
