Separated into three zones, 21st Century’s stand underlined how its services can help three core sections of the industry: What passengers can experience; what operators can benefit from; and what authorities can have.
Announced on the first day of the show, 21st Century has become the exclusive UK distributor for the SmartVision Camera Monitoring System for coach and bus applications consisting of high-definition digital cameras and monitors that replace traditional wing mirrors. The system is designed to improve visibility, reduce the risk of accidents and lower lifetime running costs of the vehicle.
Also on display was a range of displays that feature real-time information, next-stop announcements to meet bus standards, and interactive touch-screens.
21st Century was promoting its range which include classic bus shelter displays, but also showed alternative styles that authorities can choose when deciding on how to present bus-stop information, including an information totem, as seen in Cambridge, that features a range of information such as arrival times and a map.
