Alexander Dennis has announced the delivery of 15 new Enviro200 single-deckers and 11 new Enviro400 double-deckers to Central Connect, the bus operating division of the newly rebranded Transport Made Simple Group (formerly Vectare).
The Enviro200 buses are 8.9m long and carry up to 30 seated passengers while the 11.5m double-deckers seat up to 85.
Central Connect operates services in East Midlands, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
Vectare was set up by Peter Nathanail and Dominic Kalantary in 2016 and has now become the Transport Made Simple Group.
Peter Nathanail, Group Managing Director for Transport Made Simple, says: “The partnership between Alexander Dennis and Transport Made Simple proves that independent operators can deliver high-quality transport services at scale.
“These buses are revolutionising the bus travel experience for our customers, benefiting a wide range of our customer base, from residents of rural communities across East Anglia to commuters making urban multi-modal public transport journeys in Greater London.
“The versatility of the product also makes them perfect for enabling us to continue to support our rail, aviation and corporate clients with a wide range of specialist and high volume passenger transport solutions.”
Simon Wood, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, adds: “We’re proud to continue to support the Transport Made Simple Group as it develops its bus networks across England.
“Our versatile Enviro200 single-decker has established itself as an important part of the Central Connect fleet, and we’re delighted to have extended our cooperation to double-deck buses with 11 new Enviro400 that offer a large number of seats for the operator’s busy commuter bus services and commercial school bus network.”
