Alfa Leisureplex Group, which includes the Alfa Travel Coach Holidays and Leisureplex Hotels brands, has announced a strong ongoing recovery. It has beaten its 2021 budget targets, with a bounce back in the second half of the year to sales that are already above 2019’s final result. Such a return has been helped by “record-breaking” volumes since August, the company says.
The employee-owned business adds that sales over all channels have been “really strong across the year” since it reopened on 17 May. In addition, following the launch of its 2022 brochure in August, Alfa Travel has seen three successive record sales weeks. Bookings have been 43% higher than in any previous week in its 31-year history.
Says Alfa Leisureplex Group Managing Director Emma Russell: “We are not about ambitious growth targets. We are much more focused on customer experience and making sure that we do everything we can to listen to feedback and continually improve.
“We know that by doing this, our customers return time and again, and that growth looks after itself. After a difficult 18 months for the whole industry, it is fantastic to see this paying off with the advance sales we’ve seen for next year.
“The UK has a great range of destinations and our holidays showcase the very best of what is on offer, with hidden gems as well as the nation’s favourites.”
