Alpine Travel has today launched its “Alice in Llandudno” open-top bus tour, which celebrates the north Wales’ town’s local connection to a literary classic.

The “immersive storytelling experience” will allow visitors to explore some of the surroundings that provided the inspiration for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Lewis Carroll, who wrote the much-adapted tale in 1865, often stayed in Llandudno.

The tour highlights the seaside resort’s connection to the muse of the story, Alice Liddell, who was another regular visitor to the area.

Alpine Travel says the experience will appeal to families, school groups, literary enthusiasts, and day-trippers alike.

The scenic journey is said to “blend live storytelling with local heritage, historical insights, and the town’s striking coastal vistas”.

Beverley Cooke, Head of Product, Sales and Marketing at Alpine Travel, says: “Alice in Llandudno is designed to deliver more than a sightseeing tour. It’s an interactive storytelling journey, allowing passengers to step directly into the story while experiencing the charm and heritage of Llandudno.

“We’re excited to offer operators a new, compelling product for group bookings and day visitors this spring and summer.”

Several departures per day will take place from Llandudno Pier and the Tourist Information Centre, and tickets are available online.

Alpine Travel already offers several tours in the area, including the Vintage Marine Drive Tour and Great Orme Explorer.
