Prefabricated vehicle pit supplier Premier Pits advises operators to check that lighting in their pits meets health and safety legislation.
“We often see pits with the incorrect lights,” says representative Steve Hunt.
“The Health and Safety Executive is very clear on the type of lights that may be used in pits. Not only do they need to be dustproof and waterproof, but also flameproof to prevent ignition.”
Premier Pits says that is not a problem with its products, which are designed specifically to satisfy all legislation.
