Cleckheaton dealer will take sole responsibility for sales of EX and TX range from 1 February 2019

From 1 February 2019 Arriva B&C will be exclusive supplier of Van Hools

Arriva Bus and Coach (ABC) will become the exclusive distributor of new Van Hool products from both the EX and the TX ranges from 1 February 2019.

The Belgian manufacturer says that the arrangement has been reached “through a shared vision of providing operators with coaches of the highest quality and refinement along with an enhanced and modernised aftersales service.”

The Moseley companies will continue to sell Van Hool’s TX range until the date of the new agreement. Their ability to carry out service and warranty work, and to provide parts, will not be affected beyond that, it has been confirmed.

Erik Olijslagers, Van Hool Head of Sales Bus and Coach Private Market, adds: “Van Hool has chosen to enter into an exclusivity agreement with ABC because we share its vision for the future.

“Exclusivity will mean that our customers receive the absolute best in every aspect of buying and operating a Van Hool coach. Not only is this an important moment for Van Hool and ABC, it is also fantastic news for operators.”

Andrew Cullen, ABC Managing Director, adds: “It is an extremely proud moment for us to become the exclusive partner for Van Hool in the UK. Not only is it testament to the success that we have enjoyed over the past three decades, it also means that we can now forge ahead with a number of exciting developments.”

Mr Olijslagers says that Van Hool is working with the Moseley companies to ensure that the transition to an exclusive distributorship is as smooth as possible for customers.
