Baroness Vere to deliver keynote at Euro Bus Expo

Baroness Vere to speak at Euro Bus Expo

Under-Secretary of State for Transport Baroness Vere (pictured) is the first confirmed speaker in the Masterclass Theatre at industry trade show Euro Bus Expo, which will be held on 1-3 November at the NEC Birmingham.

Lady Vere will deliver the keynote address to open Masterclass Theatre sessions on Wednesday 2 November. She will present a whistlestop review of the government’s priorities for the coach and bus industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions for consideration.

The Masterclass Theatre will run across all three days of Euro Bus Expo. Further speakers will be announced in due course by event organiser Diversified Communications. In addition to presentations, it will host panel talks and roundtable discussions. Attendees will be welcome to ask questions and voice opinions during each session.

Decarbonisation and the challenges and goals for the industry in that shift will be prominent in the Masterclass Theatre, with an added focus on what those mean for small- and medium-sized operators. That theme will carry into the Zero Emission Zone, which is to highlight the latest vehicles in that sphere while at the same time making its Euro Bus Expo debut.

On Lady Vere’s confirmed presence in the Masterclass Theatre, Event Director Helen Conway says: “We are delighted that Baroness Vere will be speaking at Euro Bus Expo. As the premier exhibition for the coach and bus industry, there is no better place to witness the sector’s scale, innovation, professionalism and excellence.

“This commitment from the transport minister demonstrates the importance of the sector on the government agenda. No doubt visitors will have questions to put forward. We encourage those to be sent in advance to eurobusxpo@divcom.co.uk.”

Euro Bus Expo will be complemented by the routeone Awards presentation evening on Wednesday 2 November at the adjacent Hilton Birmingham Metropole, for which the shortlisted industry finalists were recently announced.
