The first Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Bus Reform Taskforce meeting was held last week. Held in the office of Metro Mayor James Palmer, the group heard from Mr Palmer and others who spoke on how they wish to improve services in the region.
The group agreed that its primary purpose is to offer “guidance on the Strategic Bus Review,” which was announced in January 2019. Proposed options for improving services include more partnership working and franchising.
Also discussed were ‘quick wins’ such as better signage and information and determining the scale of investment that will be needed to improve services. The group will meet again in the New Year.
