Caledonian Leisure has reached the 250,000th customer mark for its Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways. It comes 14 months after they were relaunched by new owners, and Caledonian Leisure says it has plans in place to deliver further growth.
The landmark number has come thanks to Caledonian Travel expanding its brand from its traditional Scottish market into northern England, including the opening of five travel centres. The Caledonian Travel fleet now numbers over 70 coaches.
To mark the 250,000 customer milestone, Caledonian Leisure has awarded a break for two people from each of those travel shops. In addition, Caledonian Travel was recently awarded a 2022 Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award.
Says Managing Director Graham Rogers: “The response from our customers over the past 14 months has been overwhelmingly positive and I would like to thank every holidaymaker who has travelled with is during this time, along with our outstanding team of colleagues who have worked tirelessly to support out business.
“Our strong performance over the past year provides a healthy platform to accelerate our growth, and with ambitious plans in place we are excited for what the future holds and confident that we will continue to outperform our business plan.”
Commercial Director Martin Lock adds that bookings remain strong and that customers’ appetite for staycations is high. A multi-channel advertising campaign will launch shortly to continue to promote the business, he says.
“Our commitment to customer service is why we opened five travel centres in key departure towns, run by experienced staff, and established a network of agents with knowledge of the UK short breaks market who have played an invaluable role in delivering our award-winning experience and helping us to reach this customer milestone.”
