The two-vehicle national licence held by Magical Mystery Tour Newquay has been revoked with immediate effect by Traffic Commissioner (TC) Kevin Rooney on financial grounds and a failure to comply with undertakings given when the licence was granted.
The firm, whose Directors are Sandra Southerden and Edward O’Dell, with operating centres in Newquay and Wadebridge, had been called before the TC at a Bristol Public Inquiry (PI).
The TC had proposed revoking the licence after it failed to comply with undertakings to arrange a compliance audit within three months or provide financial evidence to the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. However, the company asked for matters to be considered at a PI.
The audit report eventually presented by the company identified significant compliance issues, while the financial evidence failed to satisfy the minimum levels required for the type of licence held and the number of vehicles authorised.
