A consultation by the Traffic Commissioners (TCs) on whether the amount of financial standing required by restricted licence holders should be altered, received just 10 responses. 
The rate, £3,100 for the first vehicle and £1,700 for the second, has not changed since 2004.
The TCs say “further engagement” is now required, before making a final decision.
